The main stream

This page has songs that are complete and relatively conventional. They are the top flight of Spid 4's recorded output and have a consistent sounds and approach. You could imagine them all on the same record.

	I just played my new 12-string in the Phrygian mode for this one, led by flamenco siguiriyas and Peter Walker's playing. Maybe I was also thinking about Steffen Basho-Junghans.

	This one features a hammond organ that lives in my hard disk. It was a string arrangement but the string players didn't turn up.

	This song has a mirror ball in it. There's some Ursula Le Guin influence in the lyric, I think, plus a little Bonny Prince Billy.

	This is the one about going swimming. It has a guitar line made by striking the strings with the heel of the hand, and it goes down well when people are quite enough to hear it.
